Site Manager - Required as soon as possible

Heygarth Primary School would like to invite applications from excellent, enthusiastic and engaging individuals for the post of full-time permanent Site Manger.
Duties will include:
- Supporting the Headteacher to oversee the smooth and efficient running of the site, ensuring that the ongoing and future needs of the school are met
- Working constructively as part of a team, including line management of premises staff, and understanding school roles and responsibilities
- Responsibility for all aspects of health and safety and site security
- Managing reactive and pre-planned building maintenance and future developments
- Acting as a key holder to lock and unlock the school building and providing emergency access as the nominated out of hours contact
- Understanding how health and safety and other appropriate policies and legislation apply in educational settings, and ensuring that routine compliance checks are carried out and recorded
- Identifying potential hazards and applying control measures to eliminate or reduce risks, including writing and implementing risk assessments
- Managing external maintenance and service contracts and supervision of contractors whilst on site
- Competently carry out cleaning duties, minor repairs and general maintenance
- Liaising with the school's external cleaning and health and safety consultants and acting on advice given
- Attending appropriate training courses, including health and safety awareness and apply learning to the role
What we are looking for individuals to do:
- Contribute to and lead the implementation of all aspects of Site Management
- Manage all aspects of the site including upkeep, care, maintenance, security, health and safety and facilities management in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage refurbishment, expansion and other building projects in line with the Department of Education guidance and in conjunction with the Local Authority
- Work with the Headteacher and Business Manager to ensure our school is always the best it can be
